doing the rounds! The WHO have issued an alert about it. Already the strain is dominant in Hong Kong and China owing to, "multiple mutations the new strain which may infect cells more efficiently than earlier strains".

Are they doing anything to try and control it - vaccination, tests, masking, etc? I have heard that all of those things are free and/or very accessible in other countries compared to the U.S., but I am curious about the specifics.

Not sure why this has been banished to a category that nobody ever visits. My aim of posting it in the Spanish forum was to understand how the new strain progressed across Spain and if the Spanish authorities introduced any measures to contain the new strain.

This is the area for things which aren't Spain specific - & is well used!

There's also a redirect on the original thread so if anyone is interested they only have to click on the thread where you posted it & they will be brought here - so it will get just as much traffic as it would have

Not a coincidence, a paranoid fantasy with no basis in reality whatsoever. COVID variants have been developing nonstop since it first infected humans, as you can see from the graphic on the page linked below. This is not surprising, since contagious viruses mutate when they are allowed to freely circulate (that's why we need a different flu shot every year). Note that most of these variants are first identified in different countries (and they have originated in countries all over the world), so the conspiracy you're implying would require dozens of countries and international health organizations to be "creating" and releasing variants into their own populations, just to pursue some agenda against Donald Trump. Only a narcissist could believe the world revolved around him in this way.
