Does the duration of the visa (485) starts from the day you arrive in Australia or the from the date of visa being granted

I am arriving in Australia after almost one year of the visa granted to me . Does my visa duration start from that day or the date on which it was granted ?

Check the details under VEVO and it should have the expiry date in there

Hi

I am on Dependent 500 visa and our visa is expiring in May 2024. We are supposed to apply for 485.

My wife has an emergency that needs to be offshore for sometime and I will be onshore in AU

Since she is the main applicant , can she apply for 485 from offshore? And will the dependent visa come through If my wife apply from offshore and my being onshore?
