Moving to North Shore Auckland

My Husband and thre not so little children are moving to NZ from the UK in the next few months. My husband has secured a job and will be based around the north shore.
Any info good or bad would be a great help. It has happened quite fast so not had a chance to research schools, housing etc

Welcome to the forum.
Congrats on the move. Not a lover of Auckland myself as a place to live but the North Shore is fine. We have good family friends out at Gulf Harbour on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula a little bit further North than where you will be and do like it around there but since leaving the UK I'm not a lover of lots of people or lots of traffic so wrote off Auckland as a destination.
If you want to ask any specific questions just start a new thread in the main area of the NZ forum.
