With the new figures on immigration causing great concern to the Government, we can expect every application from a nonEU person to be scrutinized even more diligently! It is only by limiting non EU people to enter and remain that the desired level of immigration can be attained.

Wrong, whilst there is Freedom of Movement within the EU inward Migration will never be controlled.
Those applying from outside have to jump through hoops, have a sponsor, pay NHS Surcharge etc. So whereas Non-EU citizens are an easy target it will never solve the Migration numbers until Movement within the EU is controlled. Most people know this except Politicians it seems!!
