Hi Everyone,

Today I received the Nzqa qualification assessment result and I received the result within the mentioned time frame.

Application submitted on

15 August 2019
Confirmation email Received on 16 August 2019 from NZQA.

Assessment Result on
19 September 2019.

I got level 7 for my BSCS degree and level 9 for my Master Degree.

I have one question that in BSCS Degree they mentioned

"The qualification assessed above meets the credit and knowledge requirements of a qualification listed under the occupation of Developer Programmer."

but under Master Degree they did not mentioned it which is level 9.

Can you please tell me can I claim the extra points for long term skilled short list in EOI and getting points for level 9 degree.

Thanks

I guess ITP letter is only required for 3 year Non-IT bachelors degree. Not for those who did it with computers subjects. Example, it is not required by Bachelors of Engineering (Computer Science) - 4 years course or BSC (Computers) - 3 years course.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have got IQA Assessment result as below for my Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) - 4 Year Program. I think ITP Letter is required in case this line below the assessment outcome is not mentioned.

Assessment Outcome: A bachelor's degree at Level 7

The qualification assessed above meets the credit and knowledge requirements of a qualification listed under the occupation of Software Engineer.

You will get 70 Points against your education.
Better to check your overall points using smc points calculator from immigration New Zealand website.

Steps:
1. Check your points from immi calculator.
2. If score is 160 or above, give English language test and get your education degrees assessed.
3. Two options for education assessment.
A. PAR - Pre Assessment Result (Can be used to submit EOI. But IQA will be required once ITA is received)
B. IQA - International Qualification Assessment (Full Detailed assessment)
4. Submit EOI (Expression of Interest) based on English Test and Edu Assessment.
5. Wait for ITA
6. Once ITA received. Work on check list provided in ITA. As they will ask for specific documents required to be submitted. Example: PCC, Medical, Birth Certificate, IQA results, English language test results, Work Exp doc's. And in case ITP Letter is requested in ITA, get it from IT Professional New Zealand.
7. Submit application for ITA with required documents.
8. Wait for CO (Case officer) allocation.
9. Final is the decision on application.

Applicant are given JSV (Job Search Visa) for 12 Months.
PR (RV) is only approved in case applicant is having any of the below:
1. Atleast two years gard/ above edu from NZ.
2. Offer of employment from NZ Employer.
3. Two or more years of work exp in NZ.

The output of the result showing that

"Qualification Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)
Awarding Body -University Name
Year of Award -xyz
Duration 4 years
Assessment Outcome A bachelor's degree at Level 7
Study was completed in year.
The qualification assessed above meets the credit and knowledge requirements of a qualification listed
under the occupation of Developer Programmer."

So it means I don't need any further letter.

I have one more query, LTSSL only gives the extra 15 points if applicant has experience in LTSSL field, so it means applicant degree and experience both match with LTSSL profession than he can claim extra 15 points . Am I right?

Hi All, Have a doubt regarding the qualifications that need to be assessed by NZQA. It indicates on the NZQA website - "If you intend to migrate to New Zealand, you should first Immigration New Zealand to check the requirements. Immigration New Zealand will confirm if you require an IQA and which of your qualifications need to be assessed. "
I went through the immigration new zealand website but do not see any info regarding this of which qualifications need assessment. Could anyone help on this to know on which qualifications need assessment.
