I usually damage or the technitian damages my appliances, this could be anything ect.. But finally some wins:

- My 5000 peso fairly new Westinghouse 20" floor fan blade began to rattle and before that the air flow was so slow when before this fan really kicked out the air.

I had troubles loosening the fan blade attach plastic nut plate or nut and so not thinking I dissembled the motor only to figure out that the fan blade flat edge area was stripped.

Okay so I used a glue gun and put in the flat edge, that worked for about 30 seconds and so I tried a two part epoxy and let it dry for 8 hrs and then before the epoxy turned into rock I fitted the blade back on to the steel blade shaft, once on I waited until morning I used the original mixed epoxy as a guide to how hard the epoxy was and so it required a full day wait... success!

This very morning, got round to fixing the slooow fan in one of our rooms.
Fitted a new capacitor (cost about p20). Blowing a proper gale again now.
Not bad, considering we've had it at least 7 years...and on most of the time.
Mitsu Tech brand.

Long story short I fixed our freezer fridge, turned out more than one issue, rat again.

I was hearing a loud banking every 5 minutes or so, I thought the sound was coming from next door to us but I was standing next to the culprit our fridge but the sound seemed next further away.

Travelled to the grocery store to stock up our side by side Electrolux fridge freezer only upon return to find the banging sound was our fridge and buzzing sound so my wife unplugged it.

I found that the fan for the radiator was all frozen up with hair and a string, cleaned that up and squirted WD40 in there plus cleaned the radiator elements, also noticed that the adapter plug was full of black burned debris and cracked...

I had this all figured out...NOT, because after plugging the fridge in the fan was not working and I felt a slight grounding so I unplugged the fridge again and starting pulling the many wires next to the compressor and found two wires burned and separated plus touching the tiles and it was wet, checked for anymore rat nibbles and twisted the wires back together with wire tape, stuck a hose to protect this area around the wires to cover and fixed.

Our fridge had issues for months, hot feeling around the doors when opening but I failed to investigate and clean and check this tiny fan area.

Our Electrolux side by side it's huge has been through (floating) two floods since we bought it in 2010, it's never been serviced other than after the flood the technician used a blow dryer to dry the electrical components, I think my wife paid 79,000 for it and if it fails I'll buy another for sure, it's still very cold.

Another note "Electrolux fridge?" 😂 my wife rarely buys a quality appliance but this time she got a winner, now but I do that brand name because when it met her in Washington State she had an Electrolux vacuum with all sorts of attachments and it was beyond awesome.

Since last night I caught one small mouse with a sticky board and then early this morning a huge male rat in our largest trap. So far I've caught over 20 rats in a month, the rain is bringing them into our home and then Laguna de Bay is turning our backyard into part of the lake so forcing the animals towards the home.

Our last internet repair call was because the rat or mouse chewed the Fiber line, so we had to put a protective cover on the line entering our roof.

Some time ago I mentioned in another post that we had a mouse swimming laps in the ensuite toilet bowl, we put the brush door sweepers on the external doors and nothing until a couple of weeks ago, another small mouse in the kitchen, a few wax baits out and a couple of days later found him at rest.
I think I have worked out where those 2 got in, we have a vent cavity behind the overhead cupboards above the fridge/freezer into the roof space and it's not screened so possibly dropping in from the ceiling for a visit,,,,,, time for a fly wire removable screen above the fridge.

Back on topic my repair skills were once pretty varied but these days I'm limited to simple things like a capacitor in an induction motor as well as changing led light fittings when they die. Aside from that very little dies here.

Cheers, Steve.

If anyone uses the Bidet, this certain brand works well but the tubes crack or become brittle because of the well water and you can't get replacement water tubes but you can buy the motorcycle fuel lines and they do hold up well, inside this unit also but the fit is harder.

The blue line is actually a motorcycle fuel line, they come in blue or yellow color maybe others.
