I have a 13A visa and I am going to the US for a visit in May.
So what do I need to do?

1. ECC B, planning to go to BI and get it in April. how many pictures do I need? Anything besides port and ACR card? I have ticket.

2. TIEZA website to pay exit tax. I saw this on my ticket email. I assume go online and pay the 1620php.

3. I see etravel website do I need to do that too?

4. where do I get my QR code? Is there a health site to with?

I don't like waiting until at the airport so who has the latest scoop?

So from what I can read i need to ECC B clrarence which is around 2800php at BI.

Then I have to pay an exit tax of 1620 (economy and business class) which i can do online at tieza website.

I don't need to with etravel on way out but need to on the way back into the Philippines.

The ECC clearance seems the most trouble with ing all my paperwork with photocopies and my pictures.

You can do the ECC B clearance at the airport. It also allows you to skip the immigration queue, as once you have paid you automatically the diplomatic lane for immigration. Personally I don’t see the point in going to do something at your nearest immigration office that can be done than less than a minute at the airport.

Is the tieza tax not included in your ticket?

You only need your current port and 13a card to leave. They do not ask for any other documents.

I was in the airport, the Filipino sitting next to me went to pay his travel tax.
So, I went there and was told I will only need to pay the travel tax if I stay in Philippines 1 year (or more).

I also had done the etravel the day before, for my departure (even though the etravel website FAQs said I didn't need to).
Nobody asked to see my etravel.

I purchased food in the airport, after immigration and after security screening.
I had a 5 hour layover in S. Korea and was sick with 3 trips to the bathroom plus 1 to the airplane rest room.
Strange, as I had eaten at that place at Manila airport in 2022, and ate there more out of nostalgia rather than hunger.

In USA I used "global travel" for the first time.
Wasn't sure it was working at the Kiosk (picture and port scan), so I did it a second time at a 2nd kiosk.
Apparently it worked - at the immigration officer had my port and picture on his computer screen.
He only asked if I purchased anything.
I answered 3 umbrellas.

Very quick.
But I was never asked for my Global Entry card, nor the Global Entry number.

I was able to do my ECC online and paid via GCash. I also paid my travel tax online with GCash. I have QR codes for both to use at airport. It was all easy.
I will do etravel for flight back. I also got medical insurance to cover issues since I declined Medicare.
Now I just have to clean out my phone and get rid of links to these expat threads just in case my phone is inspected at immigration.
Has anyone used the lounges in the Manila International terminal? I was reading the Philippines Airline one is really improved. I have a long layover and will cool out there.
