Hi Koushik, same situation here with me too. Received State Nomination from NSW (Subclass 190 visa) and applied in Jan 2024. The portal says the standard processing time follows hereafter, which is at the moment 12 to 24 months. That's unfortunate because it used to be 6 to 12 months earlier. I know a few applicants who received it exactly in a 6-month timeframe (those who applied in Oct 2023). So, to your question - NO IT DOES NOT TAKE THIS LONG USUALLY. However, I wish the lead time gets reduced and we both get the visa in another 2 to 4 months. Let's hope so. Best wishes buddy.

Thanks a lot for your response to my querry. I have seen a lot of posts regarding the ongoing housing crunch in Australia. Not sure if its adding to the delay in Visa processing.

 

It's between 15 to 24 months nowadays. But it might change from July on as the new FY starts. Just make sure you prepare yourself for a long wait.

 

I applied since May 2023, Still waiting one year after heheee. Just be PATIENCE and believe direct grant will drop soon. We will all get there. Fingers crossed

Hello @Koushik_Pranatharthi ,Hope you got your visa grant. Also, when you say "you received State Nomination from NSW for Visa Subclass 491 on December 2023" does it mean you're referring to ITA for State nomination NSW or is it post that. In case post that, how much days/month it took for NSW nomination approval though they say its only 6 weeks.

 

I was referring to ITA. NSW nomination approval process was pretty quick for me. In a month all the NSW related processes are all done. Still waiting for the DHA grant letter.

 

Same is the case with me as well, applied for 491 in January 2024, its April 2025, no update yet.

Medical and police certificates, including Form 80, requested again. Have ed all, fingers crossed. Next month will make it 24 months. The delay is killing my plans

I have a doubt to all of you waiting for their 491 grants. Since this is definitely crossing a 1 year waiting timeline 1) Are you periodically updating your PCC and medicals after 1 year wait (PCC and medicals are valid for 1 year) (or) 2) You're just waiting for the case officer to you on this (or) 3) Will it purely depend on the case officer's call - whether to ask for new PCC and new medicals? Can you please throw some light on this? Thanks

 

Yes, its up to the case officer to ask for re-doing expired PCC and medicals. Some don't and direct grant is given. Just plain luck involved.

It will happen over coming few months, have patience. Hopefully things will pick up pace after July.

 

CO ed me asking for Form 80 and redo PCC on 23 April 2025 with 28 days deadline. This was 16 months after I lodged the visa back in Dec 2023.

However, I wasn't realized his message until the same CO ed me again on 28 May 2025. Does this mean I have another 28 days to submit the docs required?
